I had the pleasure of joining my fellow Richmond Beer Lovers at Blow Toad (2907 W Cary St) Tuesday night. They were offering $2 Select Draft Beers as part of a Kick the Keg promotion that happens every Tuesday. Unfortunately, for them (and us), they can’t tell you what beers are $2 because it is illegal for bars to post drink specials…I guess they could post something like, “Green Flash West Coast IPA and Terrapin Rye Pale Ale are very special to us” and we could put it together. Btw, those were the beers that were $2 this week.
Since it was such a gorgeous day, I suggested to Evan that we make it a working-out happy hour and walk to the bar from our house. It was only 2.5 miles away, how long could that take, 30 minutes? Apparently, I think I am a speed walker. It took a little longer than that, but the walk to the bar was no problem. The walk home was murder. I have 5 blisters to prove that and I even wore my “sensible” shoes. The whole way home, I kept saying “whose idea was this, anyway?” I don’t know if Evan was amused.
And I know what you are thinking….did we try the bull testicle pizza. The answer to that question is, no. We had their White Pizza, but added marinara sauce. I get it that this makes no sense, but when I am craving a pizza, I want a red sauce. And I just walked 2.5 miles, so I am ordering a pizza how I like it. It was topped with roasted garlic, ricotta cheese and surry sausage. Very good, but next time I am driving.
I think you did awesome solution when you choose this theme of this blog article of yours here. Do you as a rule write your blog entries by yourself or maybe you have a partner or even an assistant?
